2010-09-30Massive rewrite of MMX: Dale Johannesen
The x86_mmx type is used for MMX intrinsics, parameters and return values where these use MMX registers, and is also supported in load, store, and bitcast. Only the above operations generate MMX instructions, and optimizations do not operate on or produce MMX intrinsics. MMX-sized vectors <2 x i32> etc. are lowered to XMM or split into smaller pieces. Optimizations may occur on these forms and the result casted back to x86_mmx, provided the result feeds into a previous existing x86_mmx operation. 2009-10-14I don't see any point in having both eh.selector.i32 and eh.selector.i64,Duncan Sands
so get rid of eh.selector.i64 and rename eh.selector.i32 to eh.selector. Likewise for eh.typeid.for. This aligns us with gcc, which always uses a 32 bit value for the selector on all platforms. My understanding is that the register allocator used to assert if the selector intrinsic size didn't match the pointer size, and this was the reason for introducing the two variants.
