2013-09-13Localize the le32 -> ARM hack to the LTO module for bitcode linking.Jan Voung
Only the bitcode linker via gold / lto module cares about le32 being a target w/ a real backend. LTOModule/LTOCodeGenerator is interested in having a real target to know the name mangling and assembly notation conventions (e.g., what's the prefix for private symbols). This removes the hack from the bitcode reader so that tools like llvm-dis are not affected and nonfinal pexes can still say that they are "le32". This is still not pretty, but it's better than polluting the BitcodeReader, especially if certain tools check what llvm-dis returns, and this doesn't require making a dummy backend just for name mangling and asm conventions. 2013-05-05Add ArrayRef constructor from None, and do the cleanups that this ↵Dmitri Gribenko

2013-05-01This patch breaks up Wrap.h so that it does not have to include all of Filip Pizlo
the things, and renames it to CBindingWrapping.h. I also moved CBindingWrapping.h into Support/. This new file just contains the macros for defining different wrap/unwrap methods. The calls to those macros, as well as any custom wrap/unwrap definitions (like for array of Values for example), are put into corresponding C++ headers. Doing this required some #include surgery, since some .cpp files relied on the fact that including Wrap.h implicitly caused the inclusion of a bunch of other things. This also now means that the C++ headers will include their corresponding C API headers; for example Value.h must include llvm-c/Core.h. I think this is harmless, since the C API headers contain just external function declarations and some C types, so I don't believe there should be any nasty dependency issues here. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@180881 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2013-02-12Have the bitcode writer and reader handle the new attribute references.Bill Wendling
The bitcode writer emits a reference to the attribute group that the object at the given index refers to. The bitcode reader is modified to read this in and map it back to the attribute group. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@174952 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2013-02-09Fix the underlying problem that was causing read(0) to be called: sometimes theChris Lattner
bitcode writer would generate abbrev records saying that the abbrev should be filled with fixed zero-bit bitfields (this happens in the .bc writer when the number of types used in a module is exactly one, since log2(1) == 0). In this case, just handle it as a literal zero. We can't "just fix" the writer without breaking compatibility with existing bc files, so have the abbrev reader do the substitution. Strengthen the assert in read to reject reads of zero bits so we catch such crimes in the future, and remove the special case designed to handle this. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@174801 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2013-01-11Replace DepLibs bitcode record with metadataDerek Schuff
It keeps the same Module interface as the existing/old deplibs feature, but populates the library list from the metadata after reading the bitcode/LL into the Module. Keeping the same module interface will allow us to keep the existing uses (e.g. in the gold plugin) as they are. Internally it still uses the LibraryList variable, but uses it basically as a cache backed by the metadata. BUG= Review URL: https://codereview.chromium.org/11615013

2013-01-02Move all of the header files which are involved in modelling the LLVM IRChandler Carruth
into their new header subdirectory: include/llvm/IR. This matches the directory structure of lib, and begins to correct a long standing point of file layout clutter in LLVM. There are still more header files to move here, but I wanted to handle them in separate commits to make tracking what files make sense at each layer easier. The only really questionable files here are the target intrinsic tablegen files. But that's a battle I'd rather not fight today. Sooooo many of these had incorrect or strange main module includes. I have manually inspected all of these, and fixed the main module include to be the nearest plausible thing I could find. If you own or care about any of these source files, I encourage you to take some time and check that these edits were sensible. I can't have broken anything (I strictly added headers, and reordered them, never removed), but they may not be the headers you'd really like to identify as containing the API being implemented.
