2013-01-02Move all of the header files which are involved in modelling the LLVM IRChandler Carruth
into their new header subdirectory: include/llvm/IR. This matches the directory structure of lib, and begins to correct a long standing point of file layout clutter in LLVM. There are still more header files to move here, but I wanted to handle them in separate commits to make tracking what files make sense at each layer easier. The only really questionable files here are the target intrinsic tablegen files. But that's a battle I'd rather not fight today. I've updated both CMake and Makefile build systems (I think, and my tests think, but I may have missed something). I've also re-sorted the includes throughout the project. I'll be committing updates to Clang, DragonEgg, and Polly momentarily. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@171366 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2013-01-02Resort the #include lines in include/... and lib/... with theChandler Carruth
utils/sort_includes.py script. Most of these are updating the new R600 target and fixing up a few regressions that have creeped in since the last time I sorted the includes. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@171362 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-12-11Holding my nose and moving the accumulation routine to GEPOperatorChandler Carruth
instead of the instruction. I've left a forwarding wrapper for the instruction so users with the instruction don't need to create a GEPOperator themselves. This lets us remove the copy of this code in instsimplify. I've looked at most of the other copies of similar code, and this is the only one I've found that is actually exactly the same. The one in InlineCost is very close, but it requires re-mapping non-constant indices through the cost analysis value simplification map. I could add direct support for this to the generic routine, but it seems overly specific. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@169853 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-10-24Fix ODR violations: a virtual function must be defined, even if it's neverRichard Smith
called. Provide an (asserting) definition of Operator's private destructor. Remove destructors from all classes derived from Operator. We don't need them for safety, because their implicit definitions would be ill-formed (they'd call Operator's private destructor), and we don't need them to avoid emitting vtables, because we don't do anything with Operator subclasses which would trigger vtable instantiation. The Operator hierarchy is still a complete disaster with regard to undefined behavior, but this at least allows LLVM to link when using Clang's -fcatch-undefined-behavior with a new vptr-based type checking mechanism. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@166530 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

through the use of 'fpmath' metadata. Currently this only provides a 'fpaccuracy' value, which may be a number in ULPs or the keyword 'fast', however the intent is that this will be extended with additional information about NaN's, infinities etc later. 2009-09-04Include optional subclass flags, such as inbounds, nsw, etc., in theDan Gohman
Constant uniquing tables. This allows distinct ConstantExpr objects with the same operation and different flags. Even though a ConstantExpr "a + b" is either always overflowing or never overflowing (due to being a ConstantExpr), it's still necessary to be able to represent it both with and without overflow flags at the same time within the IR, because the safety of the flag may depend on the context of the use. If the constant really does overflow, it wouldn't ever be safe to use with the flag set, however the use may be in code that is never actually executed. This also makes it possible to merge all the flags tests into a single test. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@80998 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2009-07-20Clarify that OverflowingBinaryOperator is not used for SDiv, even thoughDan Gohman
SDiv is a binary operation that can overflow. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@76464 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

for noticing this. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@76440 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2009-07-20Revert the addition of hasNoPointerOverflow to GEPOperator.Dan Gohman
Getelementptrs that are defined to wrap are virtually useless to optimization, and getelementptrs that are undefined on any kind of overflow are too restrictive -- it's difficult to ensure that all intermediate addresses are within bounds. I'm going to take a different approach. Remove a few optimizations that depended on this flag. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@76437 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2009-07-17Convert more code to use Operator instead of explicitly handling bothDan Gohman
ConstantExpr and Instruction. This involves duplicating some code between GetElementPtrInst and GEPOperator, but it's not a lot. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@76265 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2009-07-17Add a new Operator class, for handling Instructions and ConstantExprsDan Gohman
in a convenient manner, factoring out some common code from InstructionCombining and ValueTracking. Move the contents of BinaryOperators.h into Operator.h and use Operator to generalize them to support ConstantExprs as well as Instructions. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@76232 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
