2013-02-25[ubsan] Emit single check for left shift. Will Dietz
Avoids warning twice on same shift. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@176056 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2013-02-24PR15338: Don't assert if -fsanitize=bounds sees array indexing on an incompleteRichard Smith
array type. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@175982 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2013-02-23ubsan: Emit bounds checks for array indexing, vector indexing, and (in ↵Richard Smith
really simple cases) pointer arithmetic. This augments the existing bounds checking with language-level array bounds information. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@175949 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2013-02-22Update to use references to attribute groups instead of listing the ↵Bill Wendling
attributes on the call/invoke instructions. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@175878 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2013-02-13ubsan: Add checking for invalid downcasts. Per [expr.static.cast]p2 and p11,Richard Smith
base-to-derived casts have undefined behavior if the object is not actually an instance of the derived type. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@175078 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-12-30[ubsan] Recover by default, use -fno-sanitize-recover to disable. Will Dietz
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@171264 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-12-18Rein ubsan's vptr sanitizer back a bit. Per core issue 453, binding a referenceRichard Smith
to an object outside its lifetime does not have undefined behavior. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@170387 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-12-13ubsan: Add -fsanitize=bool and -fsanitize=enum, which check for loads ofRichard Smith
bit-patterns which are not valid values for enumerated or boolean types. These checks are the ubsan analogue of !range metadata. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@170108 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-12-02[ubsan] Add flag to enable recovery from checks when possible. Will Dietz
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@169114 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-11-27Add -fsanitize=integer for reporting suspicious integer behaviors. Will Dietz
Introduces new sanitizer "unsigned-integer-overflow". git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@168701 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-11-05Use the individual -fsanitize=<...> arguments to control which of the UBSanRichard Smith
checks to enable. Remove frontend support for -fcatch-undefined-behavior, -faddress-sanitizer and -fthread-sanitizer now that they don't do anything. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@167413 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-25Fix the other occurrence of the problem fixed by r166731.Richard Smith
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@166735 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-25LLVM's hashing routines produce a size_t, and thus generate different values ↵Richard Smith
for 32- and 64-bit host compilers. This really needs to be fixed -- the IR generated should not depend on the host -- but this change will get the bots green again. Proper fix to follow. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@166731 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-25Add a more direct test for r166661.Richard Smith
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@166727 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-09-fcatch-undefined-behavior: emit calls to the runtime library whenever one ↵Richard Smith
of the checks fails. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@165536 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-04If we flow off the end of a value-returning function:Richard Smith
- outside C++, return undef (behavior is not undefined unless the value is used) - in C++, with -fcatch-undefined-behavior, perform an appropriate trap - in C++, produce an 'unreachable' (behavior is undefined immediately) git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@165273 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-08-25-fcatch-undefined-behavior: add the -ftrapv checks to the set of things caughtRichard Smith
by this mode, and also check for signed left shift overflow. The rules for the latter are a little subtle: * neither C89 nor C++98 specify the behavior of a signed left shift at all * in C99 and C11, shifting a 1 bit into the sign bit has undefined behavior * in C++11, with core issue 1457, shifting a 1 bit *out* of the sign bit has undefined behavior As of this change, we use the C99 rules for all C language variants, and the C++11 rules for all C++ language variants. Once we have individual -fcatch-undefined-behavior= flags, this should be revisited. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@162634 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-08-24New -fcatch-undefined-behavior features:Richard Smith
* when checking that a pointer or reference refers to appropriate storage for a type, also check the alignment and perform a null check * check that references are bound to appropriate storage * check that 'this' has appropriate storage in member accesses and member function calls git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@162523 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
