------------------------------------------------------------------------ r182266 | rnk | 2013-05-20 07:02:37 -0700 (Mon, 20 May 2013) | 13 lines Implement __declspec(selectany) under -fms-extensions selectany only applies to externally visible global variables. It has the effect of making the data weak_odr. The MSDN docs suggest that unused definitions can only be dropped at linktime, so Clang uses weak instead of linkonce. MSVC optimizes away references to constant selectany data, so it must assume that there is only one definition, hence weak_odr. 2013-05-02Use attribute argument information to determine when to parse attribute ↵Douglas Gregor
arguments as expressions. This change partly addresses a heinous problem we have with the parsing of attribute arguments that are a lone identifier. Previously, we would end up parsing the 'align' attribute of this as an expression "(Align)": template<unsigned Size, unsigned Align> class my_aligned_storage { __attribute__((align((Align)))) char storage[Size]; }; while this would parse as a "parameter name" 'Align': template<unsigned Size, unsigned Align> class my_aligned_storage { __attribute__((align(Align))) char storage[Size]; }; The code that handles the alignment attribute would completely ignore the parameter name, so the while the first of these would do what's expected, the second would silently be equivalent to template<unsigned Size, unsigned Align> class my_aligned_storage { __attribute__((align)) char storage[Size]; }; i.e., use the maximal alignment rather than the specified alignment. Address this by sniffing the "Args" provided in the TableGen description of attributes. If the first argument is "obviously" something that should be treated as an expression (rather than an identifier to be matched later), parse it as an expression. Fixes <rdar://problem/13700933>. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@180970 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-10-16Add pnaclcall convention to Native Client targets.Derek Schuff
Because PNaCl bitcode must be target-independent, it uses some different bitcode representations from other targets (e.g. byval and sret for structures). This means that without additional type information, it cannot meet some native ABI requirements for some targets (e.g. passing structures containing unions by value on x86-64). To allow generation of code which uses the correct native ABIs, we also support triples such as x86_64-nacl, which uses target-dependent IR (as opposed to le32-nacl, which uses byval and sret). To allow interoperation between the two types of code, this patch adds a calling convention attribute to be used in code compiled with the target-dependent triple, which will generate code using the le32-style bitcode. This calling convention does not need to be explicitly supported in the backend because it determines bitcode representation rather than native conventions (the backend just needs to undersand how to handle byval and sret for the Native Client OS). This patch implements __attribute__((pnaclcall)) to generate calls in bitcode according to the le32 bitcode conventions, an attribute which is accepted by any Native Client target, but issues a warning otherwise. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@166065 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-06-23Support the tls_model attribute (PR9788)Hans Wennborg
This adds support for the tls_model attribute. This allows the user to choose a TLS model that is better than what LLVM would select by default. For example, a variable might be declared as: __thread int x __attribute__((tls_model("initial-exec"))); if it will not be used in a shared library that is dlopen'ed. 2012-06-19Improve the specification of spellings in Attr.td.Sean Hunt
Note that this is mostly a structural patch that handles the change from the old spelling style to the new one. One consequence of this is that all AT_foo_bar enum values have changed to not be based off of the first spelling, but rather off of the class name, so they are now AT_FooBar and the like (a straw poll on IRC showed support for this). Apologies for code churn. Most attributes have GNU spellings as a temporary solution until everything else is sorted out (such as a Keyword spelling, which I intend to add if someone else doesn't beat me to it). This is definitely a WIP. I've also killed BaseCheckAttr since it was unused, and I had to go through every attribute anyway. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@158700 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
