2013-06-10xfrm_user: return error pointer instead of NULL #2Mathias Krause
commit c25463722509fef0ed630b271576a8c9a70236f3 upstream. When dump_one_policy() returns an error, e.g. because of a too small buffer to dump the whole xfrm policy, xfrm_policy_netlink() returns NULL instead of an error pointer. But its caller expects an error pointer and therefore continues to operate on a NULL skbuff. 2013-06-10xfrm_user: return error pointer instead of NULLMathias Krause
commit 864745d291b5ba80ea0bd0edcbe67273de368836 upstream. When dump_one_state() returns an error, e.g. because of a too small buffer to dump the whole xfrm state, xfrm_state_netlink() returns NULL instead of an error pointer. But its callers expect an error pointer and therefore continue to operate on a NULL skbuff. This could lead to a privilege escalation (execution of user code in kernel context) if the attacker has CAP_NET_ADMIN and is able to map address 0. 2013-06-10xfrm_user: fix info leak in copy_to_user_tmpl()Mathias Krause
[ Upstream commit 1f86840f897717f86d523a13e99a447e6a5d2fa5 ] The memory used for the template copy is a local stack variable. As struct xfrm_user_tmpl contains multiple holes added by the compiler for alignment, not initializing the memory will lead to leaking stack bytes to userland. Add an explicit memset(0) to avoid the info leak. Initial version of the patch by Brad Spengler. 2011-12-21xfrm: Fix key lengths for rfc3686(ctr(aes))Tushar Gohad
commit 4203223a1aed862b4445fdcd260d6139603a51d9 upstream. Fix the min and max bit lengths for AES-CTR (RFC3686) keys. The number of bits in key spec is the key length (128/256) plus 32 bits of nonce. This change takes care of the "Invalid key length" errors reported by setkey when specifying 288 bit keys for aes-ctr. 2008-12-03xfrm: Fix kernel panic when flush and dump SPD entriesWei Yongjun
After flush the SPD entries, dump the SPD entries will cause kernel painc. Used the following commands to reproduct: - echo 'spdflush;' | setkey -c - echo 'spdadd 3ffe:501:ffff:ff01::/64 3ffe:501:ffff:ff04::/64 any -P out ipsec \ ah/tunnel/3ffe:501:ffff:ff00:200:ff:fe00:b0b0-3ffe:501:ffff:ff02:200:ff:fe00:a1a1/require;\ spddump;' | setkey -c - echo 'spdflush; spddump;' | setkey -c - echo 'spdadd 3ffe:501:ffff:ff01::/64 3ffe:501:ffff:ff04::/64 any -P out ipsec \ ah/tunnel/3ffe:501:ffff:ff00:200:ff:fe00:b0b0-3ffe:501:ffff:ff02:200:ff:fe00:a1a1/require;\ spddump;' | setkey -c This is because when flush the SPD entries, the SPD entry is not remove from the list.
