2013-08-26Input: add driver for slidebar on Lenovo IdeaPad laptopsAndrey Moiseev
This driver adds support for slidebars found on some Lenovo IdeaPad laptops (the slidebars work with SlideNav/Desktop Navigator under Windows). Fixes: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16004 Registers 'IdeaPad Slidebar' input device and /sys/devices/platform/ideapad_slidebar/slidebar_mode for switching slidebar's modes. Now works on: IdeaPad Y550, Y550P. May work on (testing and adding new models is needed): Ideapad Y560, Y460, Y450, Y650, and, probably, some others. 2013-08-26fs/9p: avoid accessing utsname after namespace has been torn downWill Deacon
During trinity fuzzing in a kvmtool guest, I stumbled across the following: Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000004 PC is at v9fs_file_do_lock+0xc8/0x1a0 LR is at v9fs_file_do_lock+0x48/0x1a0 [<c01e2ed0>] (v9fs_file_do_lock+0xc8/0x1a0) from [<c0119154>] (locks_remove_flock+0x8c/0x124) [<c0119154>] (locks_remove_flock+0x8c/0x124) from [<c00d9bf0>] (__fput+0x58/0x1e4) [<c00d9bf0>] (__fput+0x58/0x1e4) from [<c0044340>] (task_work_run+0xac/0xe8) [<c0044340>] (task_work_run+0xac/0xe8) from [<c002e36c>] (do_exit+0x6bc/0x8d8) [<c002e36c>] (do_exit+0x6bc/0x8d8) from [<c002e674>] (do_group_exit+0x3c/0xb0) [<c002e674>] (do_group_exit+0x3c/0xb0) from [<c002e6f8>] (__wake_up_parent+0x0/0x18) I believe this is due to an attempt to access utsname()->nodename, after exit_task_namespaces() has been called, leaving current->nsproxy->uts_ns as NULL and causing the above dereference. A similar issue was fixed for lockd in 9a1b6bf818e7 ("LOCKD: Don't call utsname()->nodename from nlmclnt_setlockargs"), so this patch attempts something similar for 9pfs. Usage # mount -t f2fs -o inline_xattr $DEV $MNT Once mounted with the inline_xattr option, f2fs marks all the newly created files to reserve an amount of inline xattr space explicitly inside the inode block. 2013-08-26f2fs: reserve the xattr space dynamicallyJaegeuk Kim
This patch enables the number of direct pointers inside on-disk inode block to be changed dynamically according to the size of inline xattr space. The number of direct pointers, ADDRS_PER_INODE, can be changed only if the file has inline xattr flag. The number of direct pointers that will be used by inline xattrs is defined as F2FS_INLINE_XATTR_ADDRS. Current patch assigns F2FS_INLINE_XATTR_ADDRS to 0 temporarily. 2013-08-26xfrm: revert ipv4 mtu determination to dst_mtuHannes Frederic Sowa
In commit 0ea9d5e3e0e03a63b11392f5613378977dae7eca ("xfrm: introduce helper for safe determination of mtu") I switched the determination of ipv4 mtus from dst_mtu to ip_skb_dst_mtu. This was an error because in case of IP_PMTUDISC_PROBE we fall back to the interface mtu, which is never correct for ipv4 ipsec. This patch partly reverts 0ea9d5e3e0e03a63b11392f5613378977dae7eca ("xfrm: introduce helper for safe determination of mtu"). 2013-08-24drm/msm: add a3xx gpu supportRob Clark
Add initial support for a3xx 3d core. So far, with hardware that I've seen to date, we can have: + zero, one, or two z180 2d cores + a3xx or a2xx 3d core, which share a common CP (the firmware for the CP seems to implement some different PM4 packet types but the basics of cmdstream submission are the same) Which means that the eventual complete "class" hierarchy, once support for all past and present hw is in place, becomes: + msm_gpu + adreno_gpu + a3xx_gpu + a2xx_gpu + z180_gpu This commit splits out the parts that will eventually be common between a2xx/a3xx into adreno_gpu, and the parts that are even common to z180 into msm_gpu. Note that there is no cmdstream validation required. All memory access from the GPU is via IOMMU/MMU. So as long as you don't map silly things to the GPU, there isn't much damage that the GPU can do.
