2014-05-14be2net: enable interrupts in EEH resumeKalesh AP
On some BE3 FW versions, after a HW reset, interrupts will remain disabled for each function. So, explicitly enable the interrupts in the eeh_resume handler, else after an eeh recovery interrupts wouldn't work. 2014-05-14jme: Fix unmap loop counting error:Neil Horman
In my recent fix (76a691d0a: fix dma unmap warning), Ben Hutchings noted that my loop count was incorrect. Where j started at startidx, it should have started at zero, and gone on for count entries, not to endidx. Additionally, a DMA resource exhaustion should drop the frame and (for now), return NETDEV_TX_OK, not NETEV_TX_BUSY. 2014-05-14clk: samsung: exynos4: Use single clock ID for CLK_MDMA gate clocksSylwester Nawrocki
Exynos4210 and Exynos4x12 SoCs have the PL330 MDMA IP block clock defined exactly in same way in documentation. Using different names for these clocks is a bit misleading. Since there is no users of CLK_MDMA2 in existing dts files this patch drops CLK_MDMA2 and replaces it with CLK_MDMA in the driver. This ensures PL330 MDMA has correct clock assigned on Exynos4x12 SoCs. Samsung CCF helper functions do not provide support to register multiple Clock Providers for a given SoC. Due to this limitation, SoC platforms are not able to use these helpers for registering multiple clock providers and are forced to bypass this layer. This layer is modified accordingly to enable the support for multiple clock providers. Clock file for exynos4, exynos5250, exynos5420, exynos5440, S3c64xx, S3c24xx are also modified as per changed helper functions. The hip04 SoC of hisilicon has an AHCI compliant SATA controller, and it is compliant with the ahci 1.3 and sata 3.0 specification. Userspace can currently provoke this when e.g. trying to use a pinned scanout as a cursor or overlay target. Later on that might lead to some fun fence pin count mayhem. Spurred by Ville's report that something goes wrong here and originally I've thought that this might slip through the pwrite gtt fastpath. But that one checks of obj tiling, so should be ok. But one thing that _does_ blow up is the vma unbinding with more than one address space. The next patch will fix this. v2: Use a WARN_ON - Chris pointed out that we already catch all cases so userspace can't provoke this like I've originally feared. While reviewing relevant code I've noticed a pile of DRM_ERROR in the overlay&cursor code which are all triggerable by userspace. Tune them down while at it. v3: Split out the DRM_ERROR->DRM_DEBUG_KMS change into a separate patch, as requested by Chris. Don't unmark the device as suspended until after it's been re-setup. The main race would be w.r.t. an i2c driver that gets resumed at the same time (asyncronously), that is allowed to do a transfer since suspended is set to 0 before reinit, but really should have seen the -EIO return instead. There have been "i2c_designware 80860F41:00: controller timed out" errors on a number of Baytrail platforms. The issue is caused by incorrect value in Interrupt Mask Register (DW_IC_INTR_MASK) when i2c core is being enabled. This causes call to __i2c_dw_enable() to immediately start the transfer which leads to timeout. There are 3 failure modes observed: 1. Failure in S0 to S3 resume path The default value after reset for DW_IC_INTR_MASK is 0x8ff. When we start the first transaction after resuming from system sleep, TX_EMPTY interrupt is already unmasked because of the hardware default. 2. Failure in normal operational path This failure happens rarely and is hard to reproduce. Debug trace showed that DW_IC_INTR_MASK had value of 0x254 when failure occurred, which meant TX_EMPTY was unmasked. 3. Failure in S3 to S0 suspend path This failure also happens rarely and is hard to reproduce. Adding debug trace that read DW_IC_INTR_MASK made this failure not reproducible. But from ISR call trace we could conclude TX_EMPTY was unmasked when problem occurred. The patch masks all interrupts before the controller is enabled to resolve the faulty DW_IC_INTR_MASK conditions.
