2014-05-26ath10k: make core registering asyncMichal Kazior
If ath10k was built into the kernel it could stall booting for 120 seconds by default (60 seconds for each firmware API variant) waiting for firmware files before userspace was ready or filesystems mounted. Fix this by making the core registering asynchronous. This also shoves off about 1 second from boot time on most systems since the driver is now mostly initialized in a worker and modprobe takes very little time to complete. 2014-05-26iommu: fsl_pamu.c: Fix for possible null pointer dereferenceRickard Strandqvist
There is otherwise a risk of a possible null pointer dereference. Was largely found by using a static code analysis program called cppcheck. 2014-05-26iommu/amd: Remove duplicate checking codeVaughan Cao
amd_iommu_rlookup_table[devid] != NULL is already guaranteed by check_device called before, it's fine to attach device at this point. Signed-off-by: Vaughan Cao <vaughan.cao@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@suse.de>
2014-05-26iommu/amd: Handle parallel invalidate_range_start/end calls correctlyJoerg Roedel
Add a counter to the pasid_state so that we do not restore the original page-table before all invalidate_range_start to invalidate_range_end sections have finished. Signed-off-by: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@suse.de>
2014-05-26iommu/amd: Remove IOMMUv2 pasid_state_listJoerg Roedel
This list was only used for the task_exit notifier function. Now that it is gone we can remove it. Signed-off-by: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@suse.de> Tested-by: Jay Cornwall <Jay.Cornwall@amd.com>
2014-05-26iommu/amd: Implement mmu_notifier_release call-backJoerg Roedel
Since mmu_notifier call-backs can sleep (because they use SRCU now) we can use them to tear down PASID mappings. This allows us to finally remove the hack to use the task_exit notifier from oprofile to get notified when a process dies. 2014-05-26iommu/amd: Convert IOMMUv2 state_table into state_listJoerg Roedel
The state_table consumes 512kb of memory and is only sparsly populated. Convert it into a list to save memory. There should be no measurable performance impact. Signed-off-by: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@suse.de> Tested-by: Jay Cornwall <Jay.Cornwall@amd.com>

2014-05-26iommu/ipmmu-vmsa: Rewrite page table managementLaurent Pinchart
The IOMMU core will only call us with page sizes advertized as supported by the driver. We can thus simplify the code by removing loops over PGD and PMD entries. Signed-off-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart+renesas@ideasonboard.com> Signed-off-by: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@suse.de>
2014-05-26iommu/ipmmu-vmsa: PMD is never folded, PUD always isLaurent Pinchart

2014-05-26iommu/ipmmu-vmsa: Set the PTE contiguous hint bit when possibleLaurent Pinchart
The contiguous hint bit signals to the IOMMU that a range of 16 PTEs refer to physically contiguous memory. It improves performances by dividing the number of TLB lookups by 16, effectively implementing 64kB page sizes. 2014-05-26iommu/ipmmu-vmsa: Define driver-specific page directory sizesLaurent Pinchart
The PTRS_PER_(PUD|PGD|PMD|PTE) macros evaluate to different values depending on whether LPAE is enabled. The IPMMU driver uses a long descriptor format regardless of LPAE, making those macros mismatch the IPMMU configuration on non-LPAE systems. Replace the macros by driver-specific versions that always evaluate to the right value. 2014-05-26iommu/ipmmu-vmsa: Refactor micro-TLB lookupLaurent Pinchart
Cache the micro-TLB number in archdata allocated in the .add_device handler instead of looking it up when the deviced is attached and detached. This simplifies the .attach_dev and .detach_dev operations and prepares for DT support. 2014-05-26of: mdio: fix compile warning in of_mdiobus_register_phy()Christian Engelmayer
Commit de906af1 (net: phy: make of_set_phy_supported work with genphy driver) removed the last user of variable 'max_speed' in function of_mdiobus_register_phy(), leading to compile warning "unused variable ‘max_speed’ [-Wunused-variable]". 2014-05-26drm: Add 800x600 (SVGA) screen resolution to the built-in EDIDsDaniel Thompson
The 800x600 (SVGA) screen resolution was lacking in the set of built-in selectable EDID screen resolutions that can be used to repair misbehaving monitor firmware. This patch adds the related data set and expands the documentation. Note that the SVGA bit occupies a different byte to all the existing users of the established timing bits forcing a rework of the ESTABLISHED_TIMINGS_BITS macro. Tested new EDID on an aged (and misbehaving) industrial LCD panel; existing EDIDs still pass edid-decode's checksum checks. 2014-05-26drivers: sh: pm_runtime implementation needs to suspend and resume devicesBen Dooks
If we override the platform bus calls for pm_runtime then we end up with the calls to the devices' suspend and resume methods ignored in favour of the bus ones. Change to calling the pm_runtime calls to suspend and resume the devices specifically in the drivers/sh/pm_runtime.c implementation to allow any device that may want to run power management to do so. Note, all the current sh driver implementations do not use their own power management code so this is not a major implementation issues. This also brings the implementation into line with the versions used by the Davinci and Keystone PM domain code, so once fully tested these implementations could be merged together. 2014-05-26drivers: sh: pm_runtime does not need idle callbackBen Dooks
In the runtime_pm idle callback the code assumes that a NULL .runtime_idle entry is the same as a .runtime_idle entry that returns 0 as a result. This means the entry in drivers/sh/pm_runtime can be removed in favour of just leaving the entry NULL.
