2012-11-13tracing,x86: Add a TSC trace_clockDavid Sharp
In order to promote interoperability between userspace tracers and ftrace, add a trace_clock that reports raw TSC values which will then be recorded in the ring buffer. Userspace tracers that also record TSCs are then on exactly the same time base as the kernel and events can be unambiguously interlaced. Tested: Enabled a tracepoint and the "tsc" trace_clock and saw very large timestamp values. v2: Move arch-specific bits out of generic code. v3: Rename "x86-tsc", cleanups v7: Generic arch bits in Kbuild. 2012-10-03asm-generic: Add default clkdev.hMark Brown
Ease the deployment of clkdev by providing a default asm/clkdev.h for use if the arch does not have an include/asm/clkdev.h. Due to limitations in Kbuild we manually add clkdev.h to all architectures that don't have one rather than having the header appear by default. 2010-10-24KVM: S390: Export kvm_virtio.hAlexander Graf
As suggested by Christian, we should expose headers to user space with information that might be valuable there. The s390 virtio interface is one of those cases. It defines an ABI between hypervisor and guest, so it should be exposed to user space. 2009-01-14byteorder: make swab.h include asm/swab.h like a regular headerHarvey Harrison
Add swab.h to kbuild.asm and remove the individual entries from each arch, mark as unifdef as some arches have some kernel-only bits inside. Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
