2011-08-08ARM: pxa/cm-x300: fix V3020 RTC functionalityIgor Grinberg
commit 6c7b3ea52e345ab614edb91d3f0e9f3bb3713871 upstream. While in sleep mode the CS# and other V3020 RTC GPIOs must be driven high, otherwise V3020 RTC fails to keep the right time in sleep mode. 2011-06-23ARM: 6941/1: cache: ensure MVA is cacheline aligned in flush_kern_dcache_areaWill Deacon
commit a248b13b21ae00b97638b4f435c8df3075808b5d upstream. The v6 and v7 implementations of flush_kern_dcache_area do not align the passed MVA to the size of a cacheline in the data cache. If a misaligned address is used, only a subset of the requested area will be flushed. This has been observed to cause failures in SMP boot where the secondary_data initialised by the primary CPU is not cacheline aligned, causing the secondary CPUs to read incorrect values for their pgd and stack pointers. This patch ensures that the base address is cacheline aligned before flushing the d-cache. 2011-05-09ARM: 6891/1: prevent heap corruption in OABI semtimedopDan Rosenberg
commit 0f22072ab50cac7983f9660d33974b45184da4f9 upstream. When CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT is set, the wrapper for semtimedop does not bound the nsops argument. A sufficiently large value will cause an integer overflow in allocation size, followed by copying too much data into the allocated buffer. Fix this by restricting nsops to SEMOPM. Untested. commit 53399053eb505cf541b2405bd9d9bca5ecfb96fb upstream. Ensure a predictable endian state when entering signal handlers. This avoids programs which use SETEND to momentarily switch their endian state from having their signal handlers entered with an unpredictable endian state. 2011-03-21ARM: 6482/2: Fix find_next_zero_bit and related assemblyJames Jones
commit 0e91ec0c06d2cd15071a6021c94840a50e6671aa upstream. The find_next_bit, find_first_bit, find_next_zero_bit and find_first_zero_bit functions were not properly clamping to the maxbit argument at the bit level. They were instead only checking maxbit at the byte level. To fix this, add a compare and a conditional move instruction to the end of the common bit-within-the- byte code used by all the functions and be sure not to clobber the maxbit argument before it is used. 2011-03-21ARM: 6489/1: thumb2: fix incorrect optimisation in usraccWill Deacon
commit 1142b71d85894dcff1466dd6c871ea3c89e0352c upstream. Commit 8b592783 added a Thumb-2 variant of usracc which, when it is called with \rept=2, calls usraccoff once with an offset of 0 and secondly with a hard-coded offset of 4 in order to avoid incrementing the pointer again. If \inc != 4 then we will store the data to the wrong offset from \ptr. Luckily, the only caller that passes \rept=2 to this function is __clear_user so we haven't been actively corrupting user data. This patch fixes usracc to pass \inc instead of #4 to usraccoff when it is called a second time. commit 2503a5ecd86c002506001eba432c524ea009fe7f upstream. RealView boards with certain revisions of the L220 cache controller (ARM11* processors only) may have issues (hardware deadlock) with the recent changes to the mb() barrier implementation (DSB followed by an L2 cache sync). 2010-08-02Input: twl40300-keypad - fix handling of "all ground" rowsDmitry Torokhov
commit 3fea60261e73dbf4a51130d40cafcc8465b0f2c3 upstream. The Nokia RX51 board code (arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-rx51-peripherals.c) defines a key map for the matrix keypad keyboard. The hardware seems to use all of the 8 rows and 8 columns of the keypad, although not all possible locations are used. The TWL4030 supports keypads with at most 8 rows and 8 columns. Most keys are defined with a row and column number between 0 and 7, except KEY(0xff, 2, KEY_F9), KEY(0xff, 4, KEY_F10), KEY(0xff, 5, KEY_F11), which represent keycodes that should be emitted when entire row is connected to the ground. since the driver handles this case as if we had an extra column in the key matrix. Unfortunately we do not allocate enough space and end up owerwriting some random memory. commit ea208f646c8fb91c39c852e952fc911e1ad045ab upstream. This fixes a bug in mm/init.c when freeing the TCM compile memory, this was being referred to as a char * which is incorrect: this will dereference the pointer and feed in the value at the location instead of the address to it. commit 3defb2476166445982a90c12d33f8947e75476c4 upstream. This patch reorganises the sa1111_resume() function in a manner the spinlock happens after calling the sa1111_wake(). This fixes two bugs: 1) This function called sa1111_wake() which tried to claim the same spinlock the sa1111_resume() already claimed. This would result in certain deadlock. commit d4d9959c099751158c5cf14813fe378e206339c6 upstream. 98e12b5a6e05413 ("ARM: Fix decompressor's kernel size estimation for ROM=y") broke the Thumb-2 decompressor because it added an entry in the LC0 table but didn't adjust the offset the Thumb-2 code uses to load the SP from that table. 2010-04-01ARM: Fix decompressor's kernel size estimation for ROM=yRussell King
commit 98e12b5a6e05413420a7e3b3eca7fbfc2ff41b6d upstream. Commit 2552fc2 changed the way the decompressor decides if it is safe to decompress the kernel directly to its final location. Unfortunately, it took the top of the compressed data as being the stack pointer, which it is for ROM=n cases. However, for ROM=y, the stack pointer is not relevant, and results in the wrong answer. Fix this by explicitly storing the end of the biggybacked data in the decompressor, and use that to calculate the compressed image size. 2010-02-20ARM: allow alignment fault mode to be configured at kernel bootRussell King
Some glibc versions intentionally create lots of alignment faults in their gconv code, which if not fixed up, results in segfaults during boot. This can prevent systems booting properly. There is no clear hard-configurable default for this; the desired default depends on the nature of the userspace which is going to be booted. So, provide a way for the alignment fault handler to be configured via the kernel command line. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2010-01-26mx25: fix time accountingBaruch Siach
The gpt_clk rate function doesn't consider the PER divider. This causes a significant drift in time accounting. Fix this by introducing the correct rate calculation function. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
2010-01-26mx25: properly initialize clocksBaruch Siach
This patch disables all unnecessary clock in mx25_clocks_init() to make a clean start, the same as is being done for the rest of the i.MX chips. This patch was tested on i.MX25 PDK. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
