asid_cache must be unsigned long otherwise on 64 bit systems it will become 0 if the value in get_new_mmu_context() reaches 0xffffffff and in the end the assumption of ASID_FIRST_VERSION is not true anymore thus leads to more dangerous things. 2014-05-21pwm: samsung: do not set manual update bit in pwm_samsung_configAjay Kumar
pwm_samsung_config() sets the manual update bit via a call to the pwm_samsung_enable() function even when the channel is already running. This causes noticable flicker on display if we try to change the backlight brightness from minimum to maximum, continuously. So, we remove the call to pwm_samsung_enable() from pwm_samsung_config to avoid the flicker and this change doesn't harm normal working since the pwm-backlight driver already calls pwm_samsung_enable() where needed. 2014-05-21i40e/i40evf: control auto ITR through ethtoolMitch Williams
For all of our supported kernels, ethtool allows us to directly control adaptive ITR instead of just faking it with an ITR value. 2014-05-21iwlwifi: mvm: pass force_assoc_off all the way down to avoid hacksLuciano Coelho
In some cases, we need to force the association to be off in the MAC_CONTEXT_CMD command we send to the firmware. Instead of having to hack the vif->bss_conf.assoc value, pass it all the way down the call chain. Additionally, for the iwl_mvm_mac_ctxt_add() case, we *always* set forced_assoc_off to true, so we can remove the hack in the d3 code that was forcing it to off by hacking the bss_conf.assoc value. 2014-05-21iwlwifi: mvm: don't filter out the first beaconAvri Altman
Enabling beacon filtering should be done only after a beacon has been received. Doing that too early will cause disconnections. This has already been fixed, but the fix didn't take care about the case where the beacon is received after the association, it waited only for association which is not enough. 2014-05-21drm/i915: Re-enable vblank irqs for already active pipesVille Syrjälä
If a pipe is already active when we init/resume there might not be a full modeset afterwards so drm_vblank_on() may not get called. In such a case if someone is holding a vblank reference across a suspend/resume cycle drm_vblank_get() called after resuming won't re-enable the vblank interrupts. 2014-05-21perf report/tui: Fix a bug when --fields/sort is givenNamhyung Kim
The hists__filter_entries() function is called when down arrow key is pressed for navigating through the entries in TUI. It has a check for filtering out entries that have very small overhead (under min_pcnt). However it just assumed the entries are sorted by the overhead so when it saw such a small overheaded entry, it just stopped navigating as an optimization. But it's not true anymore due to new --fields and --sort optoin behavior and this case users cannot go down to a next entry if ther's an entry with small overhead in-between. 2014-05-21perf tools: Consolidate output field handling to hpp format routinesNamhyung Kim
Until now the hpp and sort functions do similar jobs different ways. Since the sort functions converted/wrapped to hpp formats it can do the job in a uniform way. The perf_hpp__sort_list has a list of hpp formats to sort entries and the perf_hpp__list has a list of hpp formats to print output result. To have a backward compatibility, it automatically adds 'overhead' field in front of sort list. And then all of fields in sort list added to the output list (if it's not already there).
