2009-07-30I've changed the semantics of MERGE_VALUES a bit. It's now allowed to live ↵Evan Cheng
until scheduling. It's deleted when the scheduler translate DAG nodes to machine instructions. This is currently used by X86 to handle atomic_load_add when the output of the node is not used. I believe there is a better solution. 2009-07-28Rip all of the global variable lowering logic out of TargetAsmInfo. SinceChris Lattner
it is highly specific to the object file that will be generated in the end, this introduces a new TargetLoweringObjectFile interface that is implemented for each of ELF/MachO/COFF/Alpha/PIC16 and XCore. Though still is still a brutal and ugly refactoring, this is a major step towards goodness. This patch also: 1. fixes a bunch of dangling pointer problems in the PIC16 backend. 2. disables the TargetLowering copy ctor which PIC16 was accidentally using. 3. gets us closer to xcore having its own crazy target section flags and pic16 not having to shadow sections with its own objects. 4. fixes wierdness where ELF targets would set CStringSection but not CStringSection_. 2009-07-17Untangle a snarl that I discovered when updating the mangler,Chris Lattner
starting in getCurrentFunctionEHName. Among other problems, we would try to privative a "foo.eh" label, but end up emitting the label as _Lfoo.eh instead of L_foo.eh on darwin. This is really bad, and the linker has always tolerated these labels existing. For now, just emit them as _foo.eh. 2009-07-16Add line numbers to OProfile. To do this, I added a processDebugLoc()Jeffrey Yasskin
call to the MachineCodeEmitter interface and made copying the start line of a function not conditional on whether we're emitting Dwarf debug information. I'll propagate the processDebugLoc() calls to the non-X86 targets in a followup patch. In the long run, it'll probably be better to gather this information through the DwarfWriter, but the DwarfWriter currently depends on the AsmPrinter and TargetAsmInfo, and fixing that would be out of the way for this patch.
