2013-03-27Cleanup the simplify_type implementation.Rafael Espindola
As far as simplify_type is concerned, there are 3 kinds of smart pointers: * const correct: A 'const MyPtr<int> &' produces a 'const int*'. A 'MyPtr<int> &' produces a 'int *'. * always const: Even a 'MyPtr<int> &' produces a 'const int*'. * no const: Even a 'const MyPtr<int> &' produces a 'int*'. This patch then does the following: * Removes the unused specializations. Since they are unused, it is hard to know which kind should be implemented. * Make sure we don't drop const. * Fix the default forwarding so that const correct pointer only need one specialization. * Simplifies the existing specializations. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@178147 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2013-01-02Move all of the header files which are involved in modelling the LLVM IRChandler Carruth
into their new header subdirectory: include/llvm/IR. This matches the directory structure of lib, and begins to correct a long standing point of file layout clutter in LLVM. There are still more header files to move here, but I wanted to handle them in separate commits to make tracking what files make sense at each layer easier. The only really questionable files here are the target intrinsic tablegen files. But that's a battle I'd rather not fight today. I've updated both CMake and Makefile build systems (I think, and my tests think, but I may have missed something). I've also re-sorted the includes throughout the project. I'll be committing updates to Clang, DragonEgg, and Polly momentarily. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@171366 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-12-13Change TargetLowering::getRegClassFor to take an MVT, instead of EVT.Patrik Hagglund
Accordingly, add helper funtions getSimpleValueType (in parallel to getValueType) in SDValue, SDNode, and TargetLowering. This is the first, in a series of patches. This is the second attempt. In the first attempt (r169837), a few getSimpleVT() were hoisted too far, detected by bootstrap failures. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@170104 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

AKA: Recompile *ALL* the source code! This one went much better. No manual edits here. I spot-checked for silliness and grep-checked for really broken edits and everything seemed good. It all still compiles. Yell if you see something that looks goofy. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@169133 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-10-29In various places throughout the code generator, there were specialUlrich Weigand
checks to avoid performing compile-time arithmetic on PPCDoubleDouble. Now that APFloat supports arithmetic on PPCDoubleDouble, those checks are no longer needed, and we can treat the type like any other. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@166958 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-09-12Fix PR11985Michael Liao
- BlockAddress has no support of BA + offset form and there is no way to propagate that offset into machine operand; - Add BA + offset support and a new interface 'getTargetBlockAddress' to simplify target block address forming; - All targets are modified to use new interface and X86 backend is enhanced to support BA + offset addressing. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@163743 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-08-28Remove extra MayLoad/MayStore flags from atomic_load/store.Jakob Stoklund Olesen
These extra flags are not required to properly order the atomic load/store instructions. SelectionDAGBuilder chains atomics as if they were volatile, and SelectionDAG::getAtomic() sets the isVolatile bit on the memory operands of all atomic operations. The volatile bit is enough to order atomic loads and stores during and after SelectionDAG. This means we set mayLoad on atomic_load, mayStore on atomic_store, and mayLoad+mayStore on the remaining atomic read-modify-write operations. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@162733 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-07-15Refactor the code that checks that all operands of a node are UNDEFs.Nadav Rotem
Add a micro-optimization to getNode of CONCAT_VECTORS when both operands are undefs. working on x86 (at least for trivial testcases); other architectures will need more work so that they actually emit the appropriate instructions for orderings stricter than 'monotonic'. 2011-07-07Add functions 'hasPredecessor' and 'hasPredecessorHelper' to SDNode. TheLang Hames
hasPredecessorHelper function allows predecessors to be cached to speed up repeated invocations. This fixes PR10186. X.isPredecessorOf(Y) now just calls Y.hasPredecessor(X) Y.hasPredecessor(X) calls Y.hasPredecessorHelper(X, Visited, Worklist) with empty Visited and Worklist sets (i.e. no caching over invocations). Y.hasPredecessorHelper(X, Visited, Worklist) caches search state in Visited and Worklist to speed up repeated calls. The Visited set is searched for X before going to the worklist to further search the DAG if necessary. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/trunk@134592 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2010-04-07Three changes:Chris Lattner
1. Introduce some enums and accessors in the InlineAsm class that eliminate a ton of magic numbers when handling inline asm SDNode. 2.
