instead of label ID's. This cleans up and regularizes a bunch of code and makes way for future progress. Unfortunately, this pointed out to me that JITDwarfEmitter.cpp is largely copy and paste from DwarfException/MachineModuleInfo and other places. This is very sad and disturbing. :( One major change here is that TidyLandingPads moved from being called in DwarfException::BeginFunction to being called in DwarfException::EndFunction. 2009-07-16Add line numbers to OProfile. To do this, I added a processDebugLoc()Jeffrey Yasskin
call to the MachineCodeEmitter interface and made copying the start line of a function not conditional on whether we're emitting Dwarf debug information. I'll propagate the processDebugLoc() calls to the non-X86 targets in a followup patch. In the long run, it'll probably be better to gather this information through the DwarfWriter, but the DwarfWriter currently depends on the AsmPrinter and TargetAsmInfo, and fixing that would be out of the way for this patch. 2009-02-18Add support to the JIT for true non-lazy operation. When a call to a functionNate Begeman
that has not been JIT'd yet, the callee is put on a list of pending functions to JIT. The call is directed through a stub, which is updated with the address of the function after it has been JIT'd. A new interface for allocating and updating empty stubs is provided. Add support for removing the ModuleProvider the JIT was created with, which would otherwise invalidate the JIT's PassManager, which is initialized with the ModuleProvider's Module. Add support under a new ExecutionEngine flag for emitting the infomration necessary to update Function and GlobalVariable stubs after JITing them, by recording the address of the stub and the name of the GlobalValue. Suck emitConstantPool/initJumpTableInfo into startFunction, removing them from the MachineCodeEmitter interface, and reducing the amount of target- specific code. 3. Change the JITEmitter so that it allocates constantpools and jump tables *right* next to the functions that they belong to, instead of in a separate pool of memory. have to be allocated near the GOT, which new doesn't do. So break out the allocate into a new function. Also move GOT index handling into JITResolver. This lets it update the mapping when a Lazy function is JITed. It doesn't managed the table, just the mapping. Note that this is still non-ideal, as any function that takes a function address should also take a GOT index, but that is a lot of changes.
