2010-06-16Fix a point of semantics with using declaration hiding: method templatesJohn McCall
introduced by using decls are hidden even if their template parameter lists or return types differ from the "overriding" declaration. Propagate using shadow declarations around more effectively when looking up template-ids. Reperform lookup for template-ids in member expressions so that access control is properly set up. Fix some number of latent bugs involving template-ids with totally invalid base types. You can only actually get these with a scope specifier, since otherwise the template-id won't parse as a template-id. do not look into base classes if there are any dependent base classes. Instead, note in the lookup result that we couldn't look into any dependent bases. Use that new result kind to detect when this case occurs, so that we can fall back to treating the type/value/etc. as a member of an unknown specialization. However, for now this will handle the simple cases where we already get good "unknown type name" diagnostics. 2009-12-18Pull Sema::isAcceptableLookupResult into SemaLookup. Extract the criteria intoJohn McCall
different functions and pick the function at lookup initialization time. In theory we could actually divide the criteria functions into N different functions for the N cases, but it's so not worth it. Among other things, lets us invoke LookupQualifiedName without recomputing IDNS info every time. DependentScopeDeclRefExpr support storing templateids. Unite the common code paths between ActOnDeclarationNameExpr and ActOnTemplateIdExpr. 2009-11-21"Incremental" progress on using expressions, by which I mean totally rippingJohn McCall
into pretty much everything about overload resolution in order to wean BuildDeclarationNameExpr off LookupResult::getAsSingleDecl(). Replace UnresolvedFunctionNameExpr with UnresolvedLookupExpr, which generalizes the idea of a non-member lookup that we haven't totally resolved yet, whether by overloading, argument-dependent lookup, or (eventually) the presence of a function template in the lookup results. Incidentally fixes a problem with argument-dependent lookup where we were still performing ADL even when the lookup results contained something from a block scope. Incidentally improves a diagnostic when using an ObjC ivar from a class method. This just fell out from rewriting BuildDeclarationNameExpr's interaction with lookup, and I'm too apathetic to break it out.
