include. Fix all the transitive include users. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149783 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-02-04Remove Diagnostic.h include from Preprocessor.h.Benjamin Kramer
- Move the offending methods out of line and fix transitive includers. - This required changing an enum in the PPCallback API into an unsigned. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149782 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-02-03Change Lexer::makeFileCharRange() to have it accept a CharSourceRangeArgyrios Kyrtzidis
instead of a SourceRange, and handle the case where the range is a char (not token) range. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149677 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-02-02Back out my heinous hack that tricked the module generation mechanismDouglas Gregor
into using non-absolute system includes (<foo>)... ... and introduce another hack that is simultaneously more heineous and more effective. We whitelist Clang-supplied headers that augment or override system headers (such as float.h, stdarg.h, and tgmath.h). For these headers, Clang does not provide a module mapping. Instead, a system-supplied module map can refer to these headers in a system module, and Clang will look both in its own include directory and wherever the system-supplied module map suggests, then adds either or both headers. The end result is that Clang-supplied headers get merged into the system-supplied module for the C standard library. As a drive-by, fix up a few dependencies in the _Builtin_instrinsics module. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149611 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-01-31fix a crash on:Chris Lattner
__has_builtin in an empty file, as we were overwriting the EOF token. Overwriting an arbitrary token never seems like a good idea in the error case. This fixes a bug reported on the GCC list :) git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149397 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-30Thread a TargetInfo through to the module map; we'll need it forDouglas Gregor
target-specific module requirements. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149224 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-29Implement code completion support for module import declarations, e.g.,Douglas Gregor
@import <complete with module names here> or @import std.<complete with submodule names here> Addresses <rdar://problem/10710117>. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149199 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-29Rework HeaderSearch's interface for getting a module from a name andDouglas Gregor
for getting the name of the module file, unifying the code for searching for a module with a given name (into lookupModule()) and separating out the mapping to a module file (into getModuleFileName()). No functionality change. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149197 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-27Introduce module attributes into the module map grammar, along with aDouglas Gregor
single attribute ("system") that allows us to mark a module as being a "system" module. Each of the headers that makes up a system module is considered to be a system header, so that we (for example) suppress warnings there. If a module is being inferred for a framework, and that framework directory is within a system frameworks directory, infer it as a system framework. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@149143 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-24Only mark an IdentifierInfo as having changed since deserializationDouglas Gregor
when it actually has changed (and not, e.g., when we've simply attached a deserialized macro definition). Good for ~1.5% reduction in module file size, mostly in the identifier table. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148808 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-23Improve Lexer::getImmediateMacroName to take into account inner macrosArgyrios Kyrtzidis
of macro arguments. For "MAC1( MAC2(foo) )" and location of 'foo' token it would return "MAC1" instead of "MAC2". git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148704 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-20Enhance Lexer::makeFileCharRange to check for ranges inside a macro argumentArgyrios Kyrtzidis
expansion, in which case it returns a file range in the location where the argument was spelled. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148551 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-19Introduce Lexer::getSourceText() that returns a string for the sourceArgyrios Kyrtzidis
that the given source range encompasses. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148481 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-19Introduce Lexer::makeFileCharRange() that accepts a token source rangeArgyrios Kyrtzidis
and returns a character range with file locations. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148480 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-19For Lexer's isAt[Start/End]OfMacroExpansion add an out parameter for the macroArgyrios Kyrtzidis
start/end location. It is commonly needed after calling the function; with this way we avoid recalculating it. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148479 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-18Refactor: Pull getImmediateMacroName() out of DiagnosticRenderer andAnna Zaks
into Lexer and Preprocessor; making it widely available. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148410 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-18stop claiming unicode escape sequences are too long in strings, because they ↵Seth Cantrell
never are git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148391 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-18Improves support for Unicode in character literalsSeth Cantrell
Updates ProcessUCNExcape() for C++. C++11 allows UCNs in character and string literals that represent control characters and basic source characters. Also C++03 allows UCNs that refer to surrogate codepoints. UTF-8 sequences in character literals are now handled as single c-chars. Added error for multiple characters in Unicode character literals. Added errors for when a the execution charset encoding of a c-char cannot be represented as a single code unit in the associated character type. Note that for the purposes of this error the asso- ciated character type for a narrow character literal is char, not int, even though in C narrow character literals have type int. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148389 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-17Remove unreachable code in Clang. (replace with llvm_unreachable where ↵David Blaikie

2012-01-16Some improvements to the handling of C11 atomic types:David Chisnall
- Add atomic-to/from-nonatomic cast types - Emit atomic operations for arithmetic on atomic types - Emit non-atomic stores for initialisation of atomic types, but atomic stores and loads for every other store / load - Add a __atomic_init() intrinsic which does a non-atomic store to an _Atomic() type. This is needed for the corresponding C11 stdatomic.h function. - Enables the relevant __has_feature() checks. The feature isn't 100% complete yet, but it's done enough that we want people testing it. Still to do: - Make the arithmetic operations on atomic types (e.g. Atomic(int) foo = 1; foo++;) use the correct LLVM intrinsic if one exists, not a loop with a cmpxchg. - Add a signal fence builtin - Properly set the fenv state in atomic operations on floating point values - Correctly handle things like _Atomic(_Complex double) which are too large for an atomic cmpxchg on some platforms (this requires working out what 'correctly' means in this context) - Fix the many remaining corner cases git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148242 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-15Two variables had been added for an assert, but their values wereChandler Carruth
re-computed rather than the variables be re-used just after the assert. Just use the variables since we have them already. Fixes an unused variable warning. Also fix an 80-column violation. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148212 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-13When inferring a module for a framework, first determine whether thatDouglas Gregor
framework is actually a subframework within a top-level framework. If so, only infer a module for the top-level framework and then dig out the appropriate submodule. This helps us cope with an amusing subframeworks anti-pattern, where one uses -F <framework>/Frameworks to get direct include access to the subframeworks of a framework (which otherwise would not be permitted). git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148148 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-13Don't infer a submodule for a framework's private header, at least for now.Douglas Gregor
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148117 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-13Revert previous commit. Something has gone wonky with my local configurationDouglas Gregor
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148084 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-13When inferring a module map for a framework, add the 'private'Douglas Gregor
requirement to headers under PrivateHeaders. We don't want to build them as part of the module (yet). git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@148082 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-06When inferring a submodule ID during module creation, look up theDouglas Gregor
include stack to find the first file that is known to be part of the module. This copes with situations where the module map doesn't completely specify all of the headers that are involved in the module, which can come up when there are very strange #include_next chains (e.g., with weird compiler/stdlib headers like stdarg.h or float.h). git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147662 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-01-05When loading an AST file, set SourceManager::MainFileID to the main file of ↵Argyrios Kyrtzidis
the AST file, as suggested by Tom Honermann. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147612 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-05If we already have a definition for a top-level module that we deserialized ↵Douglas Gregor
from a module file, don't bother parsing a new definition git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147574 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-04Store the submodules of a module in source order, as they are storedDouglas Gregor
in the module map. This provides a bit more predictability for the user, as well as eliminating the need to sort the submodules when serializing them. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147564 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-04Add __has_feature(modules) to indicate when modules are available (inDouglas Gregor
any language variant), and restrict __has_feature(objc_modules) to mean that we also have the Objective-C @import syntax. I anticipate __has_feature(cxx_modules) and/or __has_feature(c_modules) for when we nail down the module syntax for C/C++. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147548 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-04Don't treat 'import' as a contextual keyword when we're in a caching lexer, ↵Douglas Gregor
or when modules are disabled. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147524 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Add __has_feature(objc_modules)Douglas Gregor
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147482 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Re-uglify #public and #private to #__public_macro and #__private_macro.Douglas Gregor
git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147469 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Eliminate the uglified keyword __import_module__ for importingDouglas Gregor
modules. This leaves us without an explicit syntax for importing modules in C/C++, because such a syntax needs to be discussed first. In Objective-C/Objective-C++, the @import syntax is used to import modules. Note that, under -fmodules, C/C++ programs can import modules via the #include mechanism when a module map is in place for that header. This allows us to work with modules in C/C++ without committing to a syntax. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147467 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Under -fmodules, accept #public <macroname> and #private <macroname>Douglas Gregor
to make a macro public (the default for headers) or private, respectively. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147455 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Introduce a non-uglified syntax for module imports in Objective-C:Douglas Gregor
@import identifier [. identifier]* ; git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147452 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-03Add a "Modules" language option, which subsumes the previousDouglas Gregor
"AutoModuleImport" preprocessor option and is tied to -fmodules. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147448 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-12-31Implement support for module requirements, which indicate the languageDouglas Gregor
features needed for a particular module to be available. This allows mixed-language modules, where certain headers only work under some language variants (e.g., in C++, std.tuple might only be available in C++11 mode). git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147387 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2011-12-23Mass rename C1x references to C11. The name hasn't proliferated like "C++0x" ↵Benjamin Kramer
so this patch is surprisingly small. Also drop -Wc1x-extensions in favor of -Wc11-extensions. I don't think we need to keep this around for compatibility. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147221 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
