2012-01-11Start refactoring code for capturing variables and 'this' so that it is ↵Eli Friedman
shared between lambda expressions and block literals. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147917 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-10Update C++11 scoped enumeration support to match the final proposal:Richard Smith
- reject definitions of enums within friend declarations - require 'enum', not 'enum class', for non-declaring references to scoped enumerations git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147824 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-01-07More lambda work: semantic analysis of capturing 'this'. It's a bit ↵Eli Friedman
complicated, but we have to be careful about when exactly captures are marked given PotentiallyPotentiallyEvaluated contexts. (Actually, it's not 100% correct yet, but it's close enough for the moment.) git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147723 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-07Lambdas: semantic analysis of explicit captures.Eli Friedman
This patch (and some of my other commits related to lambdas) is heavily based off of John Freeman's work-in-progress patches. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147706 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-06Introduce a "Hidden" bit into Decl, to track whether that declarationDouglas Gregor
is hidden from name lookup. The previous hack of tweaking the ModulePrivate bit when loading a declaration from a hidden submodule was brittle. Note that we now have 34 bits in Decl. I'll fix that next. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147658 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-06More lambda work. Fixes a minor bug Richard pointed out, makes lookup for ↵Eli Friedman
lambda parameters work correctly, recording more information into the AST. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147650 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-01-05PR10828: Produce a warning when a no-arguments function is declared in blockRichard Smith
scope, when no other indication is provided that the user intended to declare a function rather than a variable. Remove some false positives from the existing 'parentheses disambiguated as a function' warning by suppressing it when the declaration is marked as 'typedef' or 'extern'. Add a new warning group -Wvexing-parse containing both of these warnings. The new warning is enabled by default; despite a number of false positives (and one bug) in clang's test-suite, I have only found genuine bugs with it when running it over a significant quantity of real C++ code. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147599 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-05More lambda work. Tweak the Sema interface slightly. Start adding the ↵Eli Friedman
pieces to build the lambda class and its call operator. Create an actual scope for the lambda body. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147595 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
2012-01-05When we're performing name lookup for a tag, we still allow ourselvesDouglas Gregor
to see hidden declarations because every tag lookup is effectively a redeclaration lookup. For example, image that struct foo; is declared in a submodule that is known but hasn't been imported. If someone later writes struct foo *foo_p; then "struct foo" is either a reference or a redeclaration. To keep the redeclaration chains sound, we treat it like a redeclaration for name-lookup purposes. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147588 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2012-01-04Add an explicit LambdaExprContext to Declarator, to parallel ↵Eli Friedman

2012-01-03Eliminate the uglified keyword __import_module__ for importingDouglas Gregor
modules. This leaves us without an explicit syntax for importing modules in C/C++, because such a syntax needs to be discussed first. In Objective-C/Objective-C++, the @import syntax is used to import modules. Note that, under -fmodules, C/C++ programs can import modules via the #include mechanism when a module map is in place for that header. This allows us to work with modules in C/C++ without committing to a syntax. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@147467 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-12-20When performing name lookup for a redeclaration, ignore moduleDouglas Gregor
visibility restrictions. This ensures that all declarations of the same entity end up in the same redeclaration chain, even if some of those declarations aren't visible. While this may seem unfortunate to some---why can't two C modules have different functions named 'f'?---it's an acknowedgment that a module does not introduce a new "namespace" of names. As part of this, stop merging the 'module-private' bit from previous declarations to later declarations, because we want each declaration in a module to stand on its own because this can effect, for example, submodule visibility. Note that this notion of names that are invisible to normal name lookup but are available for redeclaration lookups is how we should implement friend declarations and extern declarations within local function scopes. I'm not tackling that problem now. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@146980 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-12-20Unlike in C++03, a constant-expression is not an unevaluated operand in C++11.Richard Smith
Split out a new ExpressionEvaluationContext flag for this case, and don't treat it as unevaluated in C++11. This fixes some crash-on-invalids where we would allow references to class members in potentially-evaluated constant expressions in static member functions, and also fixes half of PR10177. The fix to PR10177 exposed a case where template instantiation failed to provide a source location for a diagnostic, so TreeTransform has been tweaked to supply source locations when transforming a type. The source location is still not very good, but MarkDeclarationsReferencedInType would need to operate on a TypeLoc to improve it further. Also fix MarkDeclarationReferenced in C++98 mode to trigger instantiation for static data members of class templates which are used in constant expressions. This fixes a link-time problem, but we still incorrectly treat the member as non-constant. The rest of the fix for that issue is blocked on PCH support for early-instantiated static data members, which will be added in a subsequent patch. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@146955 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
