2010-01-28Introduce serialization and deserialization of diagnostic informationDouglas Gregor
so that CIndex can report diagnostics through the normal mechanisms even when executing Clang in a separate process. This applies both when performing code completion and when using ASTs as an intermediary for clang_createTranslationUnitFromSourceFile(). The serialized format is not perfect at the moment, because it does not encapsulate macro-instantiation information. Instead, it maps all source locations back to the instantiation location. However, it does maintain source-range and fix-it information. 2009-12-02Add ASTUnit::LoadFromCommandLine, which creates an ASTUnit out of a list ofDaniel Dunbar
(clang/driver) command line arguments (including the source file). - The arguments are expected to include the source file. - The idea is that even though this is a somewhat odd API, its the form which many tools can most easily use (for example, by interposing with the compiler). 2009-11-25Eliminate CXXConditionDeclExpr with extreme prejudice.Douglas Gregor
All statements that involve conditions can now hold on to a separate condition declaration (a VarDecl), and will use a DeclRefExpr referring to that VarDecl for the condition expression. ForStmts now have such a VarDecl (I'd missed those in previous commits). Also, since this change reworks the Action interface for if/while/switch/for, use FullExprArg for the full expressions in those expressions, to ensure that we're emitting Note that we are (still) not generating the right cleanups for condition variables in for statements.
