2012-03-07[PCH] Mark a PCH file with a flag to indicate if the serialized AST hadArgyrios Kyrtzidis
compiler errors or not. -Control whether ASTReader should reject such a PCH by a boolean flag at ASTReader's creation time. By default, such a PCH file will be rejected with an error when trying to load it. [libclang] Allow clang_saveTranslationUnit to create a PCH file even if compiler errors occurred. -Have libclang API calls accept a PCH that had compiler errors. 2012-03-06Add clang support for new Objective-C literal syntax for NSDictionary, NSArray,Ted Kremenek
NSNumber, and boolean literals. This includes both Sema and Codegen support. Included is also support for new Objective-C container subscripting. My apologies for the large patch. It was very difficult to break apart. The patch introduces changes to the driver as well to cause clang to link in additional runtime support when needed to support the new language features. This is switches all the interfaces points (and most of the commenst / local variables I saw on my way through) regarding the NestedMacroInstantiations bit. The libclang enums corresponding to this state were renamed, but a legacy enum was added with the old name, and the same value to keep existing clients working. I've added a documentation blurb for it, but let me know if there is a canonical way to document legacy elemenst of the libclang interface. CXTranslationUnit_NestedMacroInstantiations, which indicates whether we want to see "nested" macro instantiations (e.g., those that occur inside other macro instantiations) within the detailed preprocessing record. Many clients (e.g., those that only care about visible tokens) don't care about this information, and in code that uses preprocessor metaprogramming, this information can have a very high cost. 2011-02-05Improve our uniquing of file entries when files are re-saved or areDouglas Gregor
overridden via remapping. Thus, when we create a "virtual" file in the file manager, we still stat() the real file that lives behind it so that we can provide proper uniquing based on inodes. This helps keep the file manager much more consistent. of the usual consistency checks used to determine when a precompiled header is incompatible with the translation unit it's being loaded into. Enable this option when loading a precompiled preamble, because the preamble loader will be performing all of this checking itself. Enable the preamble-based test now that it's working. 2010-07-26Introduce basic support for loading a precompiled preamble whileDouglas Gregor
reparsing an ASTUnit. When saving a preamble, create a buffer larger than the actual file we're working with but fill everything from the end of the preamble to the end of the file with spaces (so the lexer will quickly skip them). When we load the file, create a buffer of the same size, filling it with the file and then spaces. Then, instruct the lexer to start lexing after the preamble, therefore continuing the parse from the spot where the preamble left off. It's now possible to perform a simple preamble build + parse (+ reparse) with ASTUnit. However, one has to disable a bunch of checking in the PCH reader to do so. That part isn't committed; it will likely be handled with some other kind of flag (e.g., -fno-validate-pch). As part of this, fix some issues with null termination of the memory buffers created for the preamble; we were trying to explicitly NULL-terminate them, even though they were also getting implicitly NULL terminated, leading to excess warnings about NULL characters in source files. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@109445 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
