2011-11-29PR10101: Recover better from a common copy-paste error: if a functionRichard Smith
declaration at namespace scope is followed by a semicolon and an open-brace (or in C++, a 'try', ':' or '='), then the error is probably a function definition with a spurious ';', rather than a mysterious '{'. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@145372 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-27Reference initialization with initializer lists.Sebastian Redl
This supports single-element initializer lists for references according to DR1288, as well as creating temporaries and binding to them for other initializer lists. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@145186 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Additional text will give the extra information about the nature of the mismatch: different classes for member functions, wrong number of parameters, different parameter type, different return type, and function qualifier mismatch. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@145114 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-21Add driver arguments -ftemplate-depth=N and -fconstexpr-depth=N, with the sameRichard Smith
semantics and defaults as the corresponding g++ arguments. The historical g++ argument -ftemplate-depth-N is kept for compatibility, but modern g++ versions no longer document that option. Add -cc1 argument -fconstexpr-depth N to implement the corresponding functionality. The -ftemplate-depth=N part of this fixes PR9890. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@145045 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-17Make 'LangOptions' in CompilerInvocation a heap-allocated, reference counted ↵Ted Kremenek
object. I discovered that llvm::RefCountedBase<T> has a bug where the reference count is copied in the copy constructor, which means that there were cases when the CompilerInvocation objects created by ASTUnit were actually leaked. When I fixed that bug locally, it showed that a whole bunch of code assumed that the LangOptions object that was part of CompilerInvocation was still alive. By making it heap-allocated and reference counted, we can keep it around after the CompilerInvocation object goes away. As part of this change, change CompilerInvocation:getLangOptions() to return a pointer, acting as another clue that this object may outlive the CompilerInvocation object. This commit doesn't fix the CompilerInvocation leak itself. That will come when I commit the fix to llvm::RefCountedBase<T> to mainline LLVM. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@144930 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-16A module with an umbrella header assumes that all of the headers inDouglas Gregor

2011-11-16Implement (de-)serialization of the buffer contents for an overriddenDouglas Gregor
file in the source manager. This allows us to properly create and use modules described by module map files without umbrella headers (or with incompletely umbrella headers). More generally, we can actually build a PCH file that makes use of file -> buffer remappings, which could be useful in libclang in the future. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@144830 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-11Introduce basic support for parsing module map files.Douglas Gregor
Module map files provide a way to map between headers and modules, so that we can layer a module system on top of existing headers without changing those headers at all. This commit introduces the module map file parser and the module map that it generates, and wires up the module map file parser so that we'll automatically find module map files as part of header search. Note that we don't yet use the information stored in the module map. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@144402 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-09[PCH] Fix reading from PCH of diagnostic pragmas.Argyrios Kyrtzidis
In certain cases ASTReader would call the normal DiagnosticsEngine API to initialize the state of diagnostic pragmas but DiagnosticsEngine would try to compare source locations leading to crash because the main FileID was not yet initialized. Yet another case of the ASTReader trying to use the normal APIs and inadvertently breaking invariants. Fix this by having the ASTReader set up the internal state directly. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@144153 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

2011-11-08Clean up type flags for overloaded Neon builtins. No functional change.Bob Wilson
This patch just adds a simple NeonTypeFlags class to replace the various hardcoded constants that had been used until now. 2011-11-06Change the AST representation of operations on Objective-CJohn McCall
property references to use a new PseudoObjectExpr expression which pairs a syntactic form of the expression with a set of semantic expressions implementing it. This should significantly reduce the complexity required elsewhere in the compiler to deal with these kinds of expressions (e.g. IR generation's special l-value kind, the static analyzer's Message abstraction), at the lower cost of specifically dealing with the odd AST structure of these expressions. It should also greatly simplify efforts to implement similar language features in the future, most notably Managed C++'s properties and indexed properties. Most of the effort here is in dealing with the various clients of the AST. I've gone ahead and simplified the ObjC rewriter's use of properties; other clients, like IR-gen and the static analyzer, have all the old complexity *and* all the new complexity, at least temporarily. Many thanks to Ted for writing and advising on the necessary changes to the static analyzer. I've xfailed a small diagnostics regression in the static analyzer at Ted's request. git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@143867 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8
